One of the most recognisable Munich Brewers produces a a very recognisable Munich Helles lager. This one weighs in at 5.2% but yet again doesn't taste nor have the feel of a beer of this strength. There is a note of alcohol on the aroma and a great whiff of hops. The hops are from the Hallartau region, the main source for most beers . The appearance of the beer is golden yellow and has a white foamy head. Lots of rolling carbonation rises up the glass. The taste is very freshing and crisp. Its a very easy drinking lager, which you may want to accompany with a pretzel or perhaps a Weisswurst , though personally Id leave the food element to partner a weissbier. The smooth, hoppy, barley malted edge to the beer makes this Augustiner beer extremely tasty and very, very enjoyable. Prost !!
