Hacker Pschorr Munchner Gold

A reviewer rarely divulges his or her favourite beer or brewer but I am going to state with complete certainty that Hacker Pschorr from Munich is without question my favourite Munchen brewer. Ive yet to try the entire Hacker Pschorr range but its definitely on the to do list. The offering of the Munchner Gold is brewed to 5.5% and when the beer is poured into the glass, the carbonation streaks skywards with authority, the creamy white head is sturdy and the aroma is laced with alcohol and a lot of hops. The taste is heavily hopped and bitterness rules the palate. When you take a gulp of the beer the mouthfeel completely engulfs everything, the beer clings to every part. The barley malt is also very evident on the tongue , this combines so well with the hallartau hops A champion munich lager of impeccable quality. which has a brother in the Munich Hell.
