Another classic Weissbier from the oldest brewery in the world. Upon opening the beer there is a strong and pleasant aroma of yeast and cloves . Once the beer is poured into the glass , there is strong rolling carbonation up the glass leading to a strong white foamy head. The colour of the beer is almost apricot yellow, the taste has a sharp, sparkling edge to it, very clean and refreshing. Ratebeer.com has rated this beer as one of its highest ever, and this beer certainly lives up to its bestowed accolade. A really classic bavarian weissbier which is every bit as refreshing and typically Bavarian as you can get. As the beer is drunk , the lacing on the glass glides effortlessly downwards, after each gulp of beer this cleans the palates , and demands another gulp to satisfied the growing urge to drink more. The ABV of this beer is just 5.4% but the actually hit of alcohol is so small it delivers a very smoothly and subtle hit. The yeast of the beer is the biggest element which awakes every sense when consumed . Great Bavarian beer, demands total devotion. A Weissbier and a pretzel with a hefe-weissbier is a must , a very commendable beer this.
